Festival 24: an event supported by the Lacoste Foundation
The Lacoste Foundation provided its support to its long-standing partner, the Sport dans la Ville non-profit organization, for the planning of Festival 24. This international solidarity event dedicated to young people took place from 19 to 28 July, ahead of the Summer Games that took place in Paris.
United by Sports
The ambition of Festival 24 is to enable more than 500 young people from 36 countries to take part in an extraordinary sporting experience in France. Among the 63 delegations invited to this exceptional event were several non-profit organisations, including the French Sport dans la Ville, the Moroccan Tibu, the Brazilian Gol de Letra, the American City Parks, the Portuguese Academia Dos Champs, and the German Rheinflanke.
A contagious joy
Along with the 200 volunteers who accompanied them, these teenagers enjoyed ten days of sporting festivities. Festival 24 was a unique collective experience, welcoming them to Lyon and then Paris for iconic sightseeing tours, sports events, fun training sessions and a historic event: the opening ceremony for the Summer Games that was held in Paris. "It makes me want to travel all over the world," says a young Brazilian who came with the delegation from the Gol de Letra organization. "Here, I feel like I'm with a giant family". A woman from Marseille added: "It's fantastic to have this opportunity to meet people from all over the world, to talk to them, to communicate... it's simply exceptional". Jonathan Gamberg, a supervisor with the American group City Parks, is convinced that the participants "will cherish the memories of their stay in France for a long time to come. Festival 24 is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Thank you to the Lacoste Foundation for supporting the event and paving the way for our partnership with Sport dans la Ville!"

A positive social impact
Festival 24 provided an opportunity to hold an institutional forum, presented by the Minister of Sports, to highlight the crucial role of sport, its positive social impact, and its transformative power for young people. On this occasion, Catherine Spindler, Deputy CEO of Lacoste, spoke about the Lacoste Foundation's commitments and the company's mentoring initiatives through the Committed Crocodiles programmes.
