Roland-Garros: a day in our skybox for the members
With a stunning view overlooking the Philippe-Chatrier court, the Lacoste skybox welcomed the lucky winners of Le Club Lacoste x Roland-Garros 2024 prize draw for our best members. Private access to the grandstands to watch a series of matches, a cocktail reception... the invited members enjoyed an unforgettable experience. Meet six of them.
Julien, the crocodile mix
A DJ at some of Paris's most chic venues and a regular at the Opéra boutique in Paris, this tennis expert didn't miss a single rally throughout the day. When a passion for sports becomes a matter of style.
"Tennis is my sport. I've been playing since I was a child and, for me, tennis was Lacoste. I have memories of sports teachers dressed in Lacoste, which were really decisive in my relationship with the brand, but it was above all the elegance of the Lacoste players that, a few years ago, changed my mind. I thought they were super stylish. I came to dress in Lacoste every day and I mix music wearing Lacoste. I like the teddies, the caps, the sober pieces, the slightly unique pieces too... For me, it's elegance without pretentiousness. I think that's great."
Maxime… and Maxime
Having come specially from Montpellier, France, those nicknamed “the Maxime's” thought that winning a day like this only happened to others. They won't soon forget it.
"We're the same size, we swap things... let's just say that Lacoste really is our brand. One of us was a ball boy at major tournaments for two years, and ended up coaching the other ball boys. Today's experience is a fantastic one. We're in the skybox room, very well looked after, in a small group, with our favourite brand... this reward from the loyalty programme is amazing, we're really lucky. We're going to show the photos to the super sales teams at Lacoste Montpellier Odysseum in France!"
Jalal, aka @Lacostified
With over 6,500 Lacoste pieces in his home, Jalal is the world's top Lacoste collector. His extensive knowledge of the brand and the pieces he presented to all the guests made the day even more unique.
"This day allows me to pass on all that I have learned, understood and embodied over 22 years of collecting and loyalty to Lacoste. In most situations, I try to combine vintage pieces with recent ones, which allows me to highlight the historical character of this brand. I don't collect items as if they were trophies. I go beyond the possessive aspect by taking an interest in the materials, the collections... In fact, I consider that Lacoste has a strong brand culture and that, behind this brand culture, there is a heritage, a legacy and therefore knowledge that needs to be acquired and mastered."
Catherine and Brigitte, the ‘Lacoste sisters'
Both English teachers, passionate about tennis and having worn Lacoste since their childhood, these loyal customers of the Lacoste Parly 2 Le Chesnay boutique in France, are attending the tournament for the very first time.
"We've loved tennis since we were born. Our parents watched the Roland-Garros matches every year on television and it was our mother, who was a great player, who got us into tennis at the age of eight. It was really she who passed on the passion to us, and she used to dress us in Lacoste from when we were very young. We love Lacoste so much! We're such fans that our pupils call us ‘Miss Lacoste’! Seeing the dressing room and the tennis matches up close, meeting people from Lacoste to tell them about our passion... This day is an absolute dream! Pure joy!"
Different cities, different generations, different styles... Le Club Lacoste members express their uniqueness by uniting under the sign of the crocodile. A real community of enthusiasts, the loyalty programme is a unique encounter full of experiences and surprises. Join us.
