Lacosteiros, Lacoste fans in Brazil
Funk music lovers from the suburbs of Sao Paulo, colourful total looks and a style that's off the hook, the Lacosteiros are one of those communities that are as vibrant as they are inspiring.

Who are they?
On the streets of São Paulo, all eyes are on the self-proclaimed "Lacosteiros". A colourful silhouette. A funk vibe. A graceful step to the rhythm of the dance... This explosively energetic Brazilian community has the crocodile in its blood. How can you miss them? Their dazzling Lacoste style stands out at the Bailes Funk, the street parties attended by the whole of São Paulo. Buoyed by the music and boosted by the Brazilian sun, they blend their own creativity with that of the collective.

Crocodile dress code
Swapping items, mixing styles and passing on their love for the crocodile in a spirit of generosity: that's what drives the Lacosteiros. Wherever they go, cult Lacoste pieces follow them, fueling an ultra-vitalised streetwear look. Their outfit? A golf umbrella, pop-coloured sunglasses and XXL other accessories. On the pavement, to the rhythm of the sound, everyone cheers on the Lacosteiros. More than a community, they are a source of inspiration.
To mark the Crocodile's 90th anniversary, discover the encounter between 2 Lacoste communities on 2 sides of the globe: the Lacosteiros of São Paulo and the Vintage Fashion Collectors of Tokyo.

10 days of celebration at Casa Lalá
In Brazil, the crocodile phenomenon is such that Lacoste has its very own local nickname: Lalá. Stacked speakers blasting out funk, rap and trap music in the purest Lacosteiros tradition, an exhibition dedicated to their finest vintage Lacoste pieces, illuminated "ORGULHO DE SER LACOSTEIRO*" badges... Casa Lalá is an immersion into the world of Lacoste-loving Brazilians. Created to pay tribute to them while celebrating the brand's 90th anniversary, this incredible Lacoste space opens its doors from 18 to 27 May in the heart of São Paulo. And it's a real festival.
Since the VIP opening night, Paulistas have been flocking to Casa Lalá, where everyone is welcome. Special Talks, a recording studio, upcycling workshops, digital experiments, musical encounters, concerts, DJ sets... each day has its own programme of celebrations and discussions around Lacoste, Lacosteira music and culture. And because this community inspires the crocodile more than ever, the special "90th anniversary" capsule collection will be on sale on site during the festival.
*Proud to be Lacosteiro
